List:
Certain items within Active ERA/Solution Explorer are happening that are
worrysome:
1) Since SP17.0 (this for sure did not occur prior with SP15.0 and lower),
on exit, we are getting a dialog box stating "Data in this View has been
changed. Do you wish to save your changes before continuing?" This even if
we made no modifications to any task view.
Is there an option or .ini setting to ignore this dialog box all together??
Also what is it trying to save if nothing was changed?
2) Solution Explorer on relaunch does not seem to save the last task view
that was active on exit (even though "save settings on exit" is checked.
This seems totally ignored and goes back to the highest view level. Then the
user would be required to drill down to that view (or possible get there via
"favorites" view) each and everytime. This is unlike OneWorld Explorer where
it saved the menu that was in use it saved that menu for the next launch of
the application. The later would be preferred since usually the user will
save their typical area to start in and save it and then uncheck the "save
settings" option so it starts where they prefer.
3) On exit and relaunch of Solutions Explorer, the window pane for "task
view documentation is automatically resized and gets smaller and smaller and
pushed off the page. This happens when the window is framed with task view
explorer is docked to the left side docking position and task view
documentation are split on the right hand side. It does not seem resize if
left in the "factory view" of task view documentation docked to the bottom
of the screen.
Any insight into these items?
Thanks!
