I am not sure what exactly you mean by starting it as the root account. You
should be starting it the same way you do manually (which apparently works)
- as the jde user. You can do this in a script executed by root by doing a
su to the jde user before issuing any jde commands such as RunOneWorld.sh
Look up some examples of using su in scripts. Environmental variables will
get ya every time (the problem with doing it as root).
