AS400 fax

We presently use Create!Form to print custom forms (picks, bols, etc) to printer. We now want to fax those forms. We are evaluating the Create!Fax module and know it should work with Create!Form but just had a demo from Bizcom and was impressed with it's simplicity. Anyone using any of these faxing solutions? Can you give your evaluations/opinions? Thanks.

I am not sure if you will be able to use another fax software vendor.
CreateForm creates a postscript document that is sent to the printer. I
am concerned that when using a different vendor, the postscript language
would ultimately be sent, NOT THE PRETTY DOCUMENT. Did you try to send
a CreateForm document through the other Fax vendors system.

Thanks Chris. Do you use Create!Fax? If so, then how do you like it? Do you imbed the fax number in the spool file or go out to a table? How does it integrate with the Office applications? Our network guy started looking at Bizcom long before we looked at Create!Fax because of its integration with Novell. We then found out it would integrate with our AS400. Bizcom's PC interface seems better than Create!Fax but just not sure if it works as well with Create!Form.

Bill,

We are a customer of CreateForm. I put together a proposal to purchase
the CreateFax solution, but, never received the funding by my internal
business partner. I listed the concerns that went through my head when
I was considing a fax solution. Sorry that I could not be of further
assistance.

Hello,

We are currently running an older version of Create!Form/Print and are
upgrading to Create!Form V2.3. We feed RightFax from the Create!Fax module
to do our faxing. We also use the same instance of RightFax to do our
corporate desktop faxing. Works for us...

Thanks Rich. I was hoping it worked well with the Create!Form but how does it work with your PC apps?

Works very well with those too. RightFax is on a centralized
server. Users can customize their fax settings via the Intranet. It's
very nice.
