Search/Select form error

I am getting this strange error with a simple Search and select. When I click on the Visual Assist that calls the SS form, the first FC variable of the 3 FC variables throws out an error,
" * doesn't exist in UDC 57/LC".
This is happening randomly. The data on the grid shows up though. Also, On the Post dialog initialize I am assigning "*" to the variables if they are blank.

I have attached the log when the error shows up. Let me know if anyone has a suggestion/opinion.

Have you marked your FC controls as Filter Field?

Thanks for your response. I was able to solve this issue by removing the assignment of "*" and moving the event to post dialoge init event. The strange thing happening earlier was, when I marked the wild card check box on the FC varaible, it never showed up the "*".
