BAC\'s
Hi,
We are at version A7.3 cum10/Client Access Version 3 Release 1 Mod 3
We have recently set up BAC's payment processing using completely standard
software. We create the bank file using the program P04572B. When the
file member is downloaded Client Access strips off the trailing spaces
which are required by our bank's software (it ignores records which don't
have a record width of 100 characters, and the last field on the record is
a variable width field).
We have also tried creating a folder on the AS400 and using the CPYTOPCD
command, and then importing directly from the AS400, as well as downloading
using Reflections software.
At the moment we have a work around which involves manually right aligning
the field (Acct description) in the bank account file F0030 to 18
characters. This field is the one which appears last in the bank file
record. By dong this the bank file records always have a width of 100
characters. It works but is painful for inputting purposes and prone to
error.
Is anyone aware of an easy way to get a file off the AS400 with the
trailing spaces intact?
Thanks,
Suzanne Main.
