Any format changes in .csv files from UBE\'s from 8.96 to 8.98?

Hello list!

We are currently upgrading from 8.9.6.2.0 to 8.9.8.4.5 and one of the interfaces we have are two JDE jobs that are set to run in .CSV (Comma Delimited).

These files are then transferred to a third party budget application.

I've spoken with the vendor and they have asked us to pay to test this change although it seems unlikely to me that there would be any change between these two tools releases. That I would have expected to see earlier posts about it.

Can anyone comment? Any problems with CSV output after upgrading to 8.98x?

You shouldn't see a difference between tools releases, though you re taking a significant 'tools step'.

Usually, the concern regarding Flat Files is when a system goes from Non-Unicode to Unicode ~ things get a little messed up.

Once you upgrade, use a tool like Beyond Compare to validate any changes in your output (carriage returns???)....

If you are using a custom process to export to CSV / Flat-file, you may want to validate ~ as APIs do occasionally change.

From 30K feet, I wouldn't expect you to see an issue within the tools upgrade.
