Transfer of objects from Production to Lab environment

I have installed Xe B333/SQL server 2005/SP23 U1/Windows 2003 in a Lab environment and want to upgrade this to EnterpriseOne 8.12. Before this I want to transfer all objects from another separate live setup which is on AS/400 to the Lab environment setup for testing the upgrade. Can anyone tell me how to transfer all objects from another live environment to this test environment ? Is Product packaging only solution ? Can I use full packages (import, export) to transfer objects ?

For your custom objects, Boomerang would be the fastest solution.

Another way might be to create a path code on your other live setup, and point it to your lab environment. Create a new OMW status with transfer rules that will copy the objects from the live path code to the "new" lab path code, then create projects with the appropriate objects, and do a status change.

This latter bit assumes you are on the same release of E1 in both places. You will need to decide which solution is more time and cost effective to you.
