OAS session timeout settings.

I found a doc on the KG about this "SOLUTION ID: 201012024 E1: OAS: Session timeout value in Oracle Application Server JAS instance" but there's one part I'm not clear about. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm not sure about the syntax for the section "Update the MOD_oc4j.CONF" and was wondering what others have put in here. Also it looks ike you can modify the file through Oracle Enterprise Manager screen, although the doc tells you to modify the file directly.

Does anyone bother with this or do most people modify the the UserSession value in the JAS.INI, the Timeout in the httpd and the Web.xml file?

8.12, 8.96, OAS 10.1.2.0.2

We just did the jas.ini, web.xml, httpd.conf.

With 8.12 8.97.x, I have only had to change the web.xml document to up the session timeout time. Would be nice to see a setting in server manager to be able to update this.

Yes I confirm, i have only change the web.xml file, restart the jas instance.

You can see the session timeout with ServerManager in the UserSessions menu
