Update Tools Release from SP23_H1

We are considering a move from XE SP23_H1 to a more recent tools release (SP23_Q1 or later) to resolve some issues we are experiencing (Duh...nobody does this for giggles, I guess).

The fixes we need were included in SP23_Q1, but this doesn't appear to be available any more, but SP23_T1 and SP23_U1 are available. Can any of you share anything that we should be concerned about on either of these tools releases? Any gotchas?

Also, are there any significant issues that were resolved between H1 and U1 that would help to encourage this move even more?

We are on JDE Xe on OS400 (Citrix/Fat Clients)

Thanks for your thoughts! Kelly

After posting this question I found post 129843 on SP23_T1 which has some great information. Sorry about the duplicate post. However, if anyone has anything to add that wasn't already posted to that ticket it would be appreciated!

NOTE: We aren't using the web functionality, so the web issues don't impact us right now (nor do we anticipate going to web anytime soon).

Thanks - K

Starting with EnterpriseOne Tools 8.96 and SP23_P1, EnterpriseOne defaults to turning on SQL Server mode. This basically routes any SQL processing to the QSQSRVR jobs. This was done to support multithreaded Call Object Kernels (not available in XE though) which are configured in the ini file and to support Vertex versions 3.2.23 dependencies. If this doesn't apply, server mode can be turned off in the ini file by setting sqlServerMode to 0.
