My company is migrating to 8.96 later this month. for anyone who has performed this migration, are there any testing tips/migration-specific areas which require attention?

Hi,
I just did a Tools upgrade from E8.10 8.95i2 to E8.10
8.96.2.3 on W2003 and SQL 2000.
I had no issues, other than the following :
1. 8.96 FAT client modifies and creates other Registry
entries than 8.95 FAT, so I had to review my Registry
permission layout.
2. Before installing your 8.96 Fat client, please be
sure to kill all ow* processes, I had some annoying
messages like "Shared memory is locked by process
OneWorldListener Abort-Retry-Cancel?" during Fat Client
install.

Thanks for the tips. To clarify, our JDE instances are hosted, so I will not be doing the upgrading, only the testing and clean up afterwards...
