Fixed Asset Next Numbering

Hello
Can anyone please tell me whether in Fixed Assets we can set the Fixed Assets next number company wise or not
eg. ABC is a main company. It is having 2 units say chips plant and yarn plant. And both is treated different unit but finally it is consolidated in one company as ABC only.
So my query is whether can be set the next numbering by company wise or the next numbering will be one only for all companies.
Please help me out.

You can assign a document or record number (no longer than 8 characters) or allow the next numbers program to automatically assign one. There are standard next numbers and next numbers by company and fiscal year.

• For standard next numbers, the system finds the next available number in the Next Numbers table (F0002) and assigns the number to the document.

• For next numbers by company and fiscal year, the system assigns a unique set of next numbers for each company, fiscal year, or combination of company and fiscal year in the Next Numbers by Company/Fiscal Year table (F00021).

There is a NN Constant that determines which is used.
