I know what you're thinking "Why would you want to do that". Simply, I don't, but IT management does....and they asked me to confirm if it works. Any thoughts on such a config? Running E1 8.10, 8.9.5.M1, SQL2000 SP4. Thanks, Fred

Yes, it does work, there is no reason for it not to as you are talking to the E1 Enterprise Server listener, not the OS. You need to be certain you're running the same version of E1 Tools on the JAS Server and Enterprise Server.

If you don't want to do it, be honest with your IT manager(s) and let them know that Windows 2000 Server is no longer supported by Oracle, it is no longer listed in the MTR's.

Hi,

Yes, should work fine but you're out the Oracle MTRs and
Microsoft will soon drop W2000 support.
If I were you, I'd rather try to convince my boss to
go W2003, if you ever encounter any trouble JDE will wash
its hands saying that you're running its products on a
non-supported OS.
