Need a PDF to look at...

Strange request... can somebody out there using a newer release (preferably 8.12, but 8.11 would do) send me a PDF from their system? Any UBE will do (one that doesn't involve any confidential data, of course). The only thing special I need is for UBEPRINTDATAITEMS=1 to be set in the [UBE] section of the jde.ini (assuming that still exists in later releases). I'm trying to find out if our document formatting solution will work right once we upgrade to 8.12 and need to see what the PDFs that are generated look like.

Thanks!!

Scotti,

I'm attaching a zip of two files which were generated in the pristine environment, 8.11 SP1 apps, 8.96_I1 Tools. Both files were generated with the JDE.INI option you requested.

The first file, R0010P_XJDE0001_D070627_T170308900.pdf, was generated with compression enabled. File size is 84 KB.

The second file, R0010P_XJDE0001_D070627_T170515400.pdf, was generated with compression disabled. It is 123 KB. The uncompressed file is supposed to be compatible with third party document management solutions. Your mileage may vary.

SOLUTION ID: 200993709 indicates you may have no issues if you set UBEPDFCompression=0 in the UBE section of your jde.ini.

By default UBE compression is enabled post 8.95_A1. EnterpriseOne 8.12 shipped with 8.96 Tools, so this definitely applies for 8.12.

We currently use Optio, do not have UBEPDFCompression=0 in the server JDE.INI, but it still works. So it seems the issue mentioned in the Solution ID does not apply to Optio.

It was nice meeting you at Collaborate07.
