How to config ODBC D.S to a SQL Server Named Instance

Hi - We are trying to upgrade to 8.10 & am trying to configure a ODBC data source to a SQL dB on a SQL cluster named instance. I am unable to view the table from UTB once the D.S is configured? Any ideas? Has anyone done this? Thx for your replies.

I've done this many times and it works fine provided you have a recent version of MDAC. I have had problems with older versions of MDAC, in particular the one that ships with Windows 2000 Pro. If you have setup the ODBC datasource and you cannot access tables in the datasource check the jde.log to see if it is returning SQL errors. I can help you troubleshoot further if you provide more information, but what you are trying to do will work.
