Second Enterprise Server

We have added the Second Enterprise Server in the process of swapping AS400 720 V4R5 to AS400 820 V5R1 box.
All shared( SVM, OL, SYS and DD) Libraries are on the 720 which is running at SP15_006. I have mapped DV & PY to the 820 box with SP20. This excercise is to test the OS level on the 820 and also SP20 and continue to apply SP20 _F1. I am having difficulty with PORTTEST on the second box.
I would sincerely appreciate any help from someone who has taken this route with either swapping ES ( AS400) or using LPAR to keep DV & PY isolated from the Production partition which would handle PD.
Basically 720 is my host server since it is the Security Server. And 820 is the secondary server.

Devki,

When there are multiple AS/400s you need to make sure of the following
things:

Server maps must be configured with JDBNET as the driver for inter-system
communications.

The IPC ranges in each Server's INI file must not overlap. (eg. if Primary
INI start range is 8000, then change the second AS/400's start range to
9001.

The Primary Enterprise Server must always be up and running for the
secondary to connect. If you need to shut down the OneWorld Services on the
primary, you must also stop them on the second system. You can not bring
the second system up until the first is completely started.

Lastly, check the default envrionment and pathcode settings in the second
systems ini file. Make sure that the environment and pathcode is one that
is installed on this system.

Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

Andy
