Automatic Login to OneWorld

There used to be a way (back in B73.1 and B73.2) to have OneWorld automatically log in and skip the login screen. If I recall correctly there were some minor ini changes to make this work.

I thought I could make this work with my SP19.1 XE but JDE Support Line says that there is absolutely no way to have a client login without a password entry. Can anyone else verify / corroborate the JDE SL's statement?

You would need to use Unified Logon. Then setting a flag in the users
jde.ini will automatically log them into OneWorld using their NT logon.

NT and Oneworld username must match.

Unified Logon must be started on another server.

jde.ini must be modified to reflect the unified logon server.

Please see attached. Is this what you were looking for?

Thanks for the post. Since I have mainly been working on AS/400 installs, I hadn't even thought about unified logon. To the best of my knowledge, most AS/400 ES customers can't use unified logon w/o an app server. This is an excellent workaround. It just so happens that I am looking at an NT application server so perhaps this might work for me.

Thanks again.

You don't have to have an APP server.... your deployment server will work just as well.

Shearer is right the Deployment machine will do fine enough.

Why do you want an App.server next to your AS?
we had that once but it gave us more pain than comfort.
