XE : Autofilling the field with a previous entry

Now with XE it has a feature that similar to Excel/IE URLs where it
autofills fields with a previous entry of a similar pattern. This is
automatic for the user.

1) Can you turn this off globally or individually? What if certain users
don't care for it?
User overrides on this?
2) What determines a field to have this allowance? In DD?
3) Why do some fields allow for this and others do not?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Re: Autofilling the field with a previous entry

On the drop down menu Preferences the user can toggle off the Type Ahead
feature.
