In my fat client, I have an application with a grid that will lock the fields that are keys (this is standard as far as I can tell). If I attempt to edit the field, a little lock appears in the top left hand corner of the grid.
My web users of this form have come across the problem that when they are using the application that there is no indication that they can not make changes to the field. To them, they can change the field and appear to save the data.
When the exit and come back to the screen, the field is set back to the original value.
Has anyone else noticed this? If so, is there some solution that I can apply that will show the users that the fields can not be modified?
I am on Release B7333 Service Pack 22.
