We are currently working with an installation running Xe SP15 on SQL 7.0. I need confimration that an upgrade to SQL2000 is primarily a database upgrade with no affect on JDE. I have read through all the JDE KG docs and nothing jumps out as an issue with this type of upgrade.

Do you have any knowledge of any issues regarding this type of upgrade? I know that Microsoft types say that it is better to install a new SQL2000 server and migrate over, but I do not think that is an option here.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi there :

The SQL7 to SQL2000 is basically a database engine upgrade, it doesn't
alter physical .MDF, .NDF and .LDF files (apart from installing new
Master, MSDB and Model databases).
Nevertheless, JDE recommends to reindex and recreate statistics on all
your databases after migrating to SQL2000.
I haven't had any issue with this database upgrade on OneWorld.
