Update Extended Price Based on Actual Shipped Weight

We have a custom shipping module which feeds E1 sales. When a line is shipped the standard extended weight (SDITWT) for the sales order line is overwritten with the actual shipped weight. Very rarely is the actual shipped weight for an item exactly the standard.

Pricing on some sales orders is per Ton so we need the extended price on these to be updated based on the actual tons shipped. Right now, the price remains based on the standard tons. (Orders are entered in square feet. We use dual UOM functionality already to convert SF to Rolls.)

We have found that manipulating the extended price via a custom UBE is sufficient to print an accurate invoice (based on actual tons). However, when we try to post the order line to the GL through Sales Update, the UOM conversions appear to be in play. Therefore, the values posted revert back to the extended price based on a standard weight.

I have also tried some advanced pricing based on quantity breaks and with formulas. Most of these methods will impact the unit price and we do not want to do this.

Short of modifying the R42800, can anyone tell me of a different approach that we might try?

Have you tried setting the Price Override Code in F4211 to '1' when you change the price using your custom UBE?
