E9.2 sales order canceled lines lose unit price

Hello,

When we cancel a line in SO, the extended price is zeroed which is fine. However, unit price is also zeroed. This makes reporting on canceled sales tricky. Is it typical for the unit price to be zeroed out? If so, how do you report on the canceled sales? If not, where would we look to allow unit price to remain? Also, are there any consequences to having the unit price remain on canceled lines?

Thank you,

Jer

Hello Jer,

Per my understanding, unit price shouldn't be blanked out to zero - if we cancel a sales order line (just the way how a backorder works - if a line is in backorder, only unit price exists for that line and extended price will be zeroed out). Looks like there is a customization at your end. May be, check your sales ledger file to keep track of pricing for cancelled lines. There wont be any consequences - if unit price remain on cancelled lines.

Hope its clear.

Thanks

Hello visw,

Thank you for confirming how things should work. I will look for the customization.
