Need help. Our Oneworld instance is not allowing users to logon. My research has lead me to JDENET_K and JDENET_N on our iseries box. I would rather not perform an IPL. Could i simply run STRNET? Are there any considerations i should give thought before executing this command? What does the STRNET command actually do?

STRNET starts the JDE services.

Add JDEOW and E9xxSYS or B73xxxSYS depending on your release to your library list

GO A98OWMNU

Chose option to Stop Services (This issues an ENDNET)

From WRKACTJOB verify that the JDE subsystem and all its processes have stopped. If you have a hung kernel you might have to kill it taking a 4 and prompt and do a *IMMED instead of *CNTRLD

Chose option to Clear IPC (This issues a CLRIPC)

Chose option to start services (This issues a STRNET)

Considerations for the above would obviously be if you have any UBEs running wait for them to finish. Stopping services will also kill any active sessions on there right now
