start of client listner

i have build a full package on deployment server
then i has deployed it to WTS customer
when installing this package an error message was generated that indicates a failed installation
when i want to log on to WTS SERVER a message appear displaying that PY7333 can't be loaded
when i verify services the client listner service is stopped and it can't be started
so i need some help

NT4.0 + SQL 7.0 + XE + SP15.1

Zizou1919,

When you install a full package one of the first things that happens is it removes the old package from the client. This will explain why your are not able to login. You might want to try to install your previous package back on the WTS so you can get it back in operation and in the meantime try to install your new package on a fat client to see if there are issues with the package itself. I have seen this before and just rebooted the WTS and then reinstalled the new package and it install just fine.

what difference between installing a WTS server and a normal client.
please give me a process to reinstall WTS server.

Nothing really, but if it fails on the install on another box then it would lead me to believe that something is wrong with the package.

You MUST use Add/Remove Programs to install a package on WTS. Doing
this places the WTS in a state that will not allow logins and other
processes to run while you do the install. After the install the server
is placed back into Execute mode. This can also be done from the
command line (placing in special state and then back into execute mode).
Also - best to reboot WTS after install before attempting login.

Install OneWorld client from Add/Remove Programs in
Control Panel

Do not do a normal scheduled client install to a
Terminal Server.

You can also do the following from the command prompt instead of using
Add/Remove programs:

Before installing anything on WTS switch to install Mode:
C: change user /install

After installing on WTS switch to multi-user mode
C: change user /execute
