Service Pack 19.1 issue...

Hi list...
I'm applying service pack 19.1 to our test XE enterprise server... after
modifying the JDE.ini included on the SP CD, I get the following error
message when I try to start the JDE Network Service:

"The dynamic link library ORA73.dll could not be found on the specified path
d:\oneworld........"

Any ideas would be great.

Thank's in advance

Sounds like one of your datasources in your server map datasource is set to
oracle, or the entry for db system settings is set to oracle in your new ini.
I would probably just revert to the old ini file.

Hi...
The problem was on the [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS] section:
Load Library=JDBOCI73.DLL-------This is for Oracle
Load Library=JDBODBC.DLL-------This is for MS-SQL

Thank's

Re: RE: Service Pack 19.1 issue...

I went back and looked at your initial post and noticed that you said "after modifying the JDE.ini included on the SP CD". Why would you use the jde.ini that came with the SP?

I guess you could do that to make sure that you get any jde.ini changes included with the SP. I would make liberal use of the Visual C++ tool 'WinDiff' if I were replacing my known-good jde.ini with one shipped from JDE.

RE: RE: Service Pack 19.1 issue...

Thank's, brother of kara that was a good point... I never remembered to use
the WinDiff tool, so I took the long way and compared both jde.ini's line by
line...

I decided to take the jde.ini of the SP. just in case we need the new tags
in the future.

Hi,

We are in process of applying SP19.1 now.
Is there any new problems created by SP19.1?
Is it safe to apply on the live environment?
