Sales Order \"Kits\" Problems in 8.9
Hi All, hope someone can help.
We use simple Kit functionality (1 level) extensively here but for 8.9 Kit handling seems to have been rewritten and new bugs introduced.
The one thats driving me crazy at the moment occurs when a user selects an existing Kit Parent line on the P4210 Detail Revisions screen, selects the "Kits/Configurator" row exit, in the Kit Selection screen reviews the Kit configuration and then selects OK to return to the Detail Revisions screen. Once there everything looks fine until the SO is saved and called back up again. Then the Date Promised Shipment (PPDJ) field for the first component line is blanked out!
It gets better though. Enter the Kit Selection screen twice for the same Kit without first closing the sales order and coming back in . . . it will cancel all the Kit component lines and recreate new ones - even though there were no changes!
There's more to this sordid tale ... but I need to know if anyone else out there has felt our pain
with Kits and come up with a fix (can't find anything on KG and still working with response line).
