I am trying to look up logs for P421002 and am not able to determine where in the code in ER the following lines are called:

Have you tried printing out the entire Event Rules of the application in a txt file then searching.

TO do this in FDA get into any event, in the event rule editor, then Print, only choose File, type in the filename and directory and select Application.

Other solution is to use JDE Object Browser (freeware, google it) and use ER search feature.
