RI Variables not using Report Interconnect

List,

I have searched the list for an answer but could not find a satisfactory answer.

Problem: Want to call a UBE (Object and Version are variables) AND pass a report interconnect variable. For instance calling R42565 Version TP0001 with RI mnSalesOrderNumber. Must use a BSFN or System Function but can find nowhere to put RI variable.

Don't want to add PO's to T42565 as mentioned as solution.

Cheers

Wbrink,

Trying to guess what it is that you are asking... RI variables are Report
Interconnect values within the subsequent UBE's Report Data Structure.

Thus, the subsequent UBE's RI values do not exist in the current RI list.
Create a variable, populate that variable with the necessary data. Then, in
the report interconnect - move the value of the variable into the variable
of the interconnect. In the subsequent UBE - the RI will contain the passed
value.

Re: RE: RI Variables not using Report Interconnect

Hello Daniel,

When using the standard Report Interconnect this RI Variable indeed shows. But I am not using standard Report Interconnect but a BSFN to call the UBE and I can find no reference in the Datastructure to the RI variable of the called UBE.

Hope that it clarifies things a bit...

BSFN:
System Function: Launch Batch Application or
B4301660: LaunchPOPrintUBE or
B9800240: Call UBE Application

Greetings,

Walter

Re: RE: RI Variables not using Report Interconnect

Walter,
The alternative to {Rpt Interconnect, PO Template modification} is ... writing a Business Function; you may consider looking for an Existing BSFN, do a search on "Sales Order ..", or "Address Book ...", that Xe already uses.
Next, you may copy it and acommodate it (and its DataStructure) per your requirements.
Warm regards,
