RE: Storing UPC in JDEdwards
We have modified P4101 (item maintenance) and added a field for entry of
the bar code number. They are stored in the normal JDE cross reference
file (F4104) as a "B" type. As far as generating the numbers, it is a
simple algorithm to calculate the check digit, and the rest of the UPC
number is either chiseled in stone (the 1st half) or is your part number
(the 2nd half).
