Just a suggestion!
1. There are plenty of sales reporting category codes
that could be adapted as the customers line number.
2. There are also optional fields such as VR01 that
can be set up to accept the customer line number.
3. What are the limitations (size) of the customer
number, and is it going to be alpha - numeric.
