We do this conversion of numbers to words for cheques, but the little gizmo that does it is part of the forms software we use for printing them (Createform). I don't know of anything in JDE from my personal experience but that doesn't mean it isn't there ! I'm always discovering new little things in JDE I wished I knew about ages ago...


I am writing a report that requires "Total Number of quantity" to be
converted into words.. Eg 1230 = One Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty.
I know of one such situation in JDE where Figures are converted to Words
i.e. In 'Computer Cheque Printing'. I just don't know where to locate the
code in which it actually does the converting............
If anybody having similar problem or know of a subroutine or program that
does that...please help me out.

If you look at Processing Option #1 for P04572, it will be the name
of the program
that does the converting. In our case that is program X00500 (for
US dollars).
Also, in UDC table 98 CT you will find other programs for converting
into other
languages.
