R03B551 Issues

Two days ago our auto cash application experienced some severe issues. The R03B551 application, which typically runs in 20 minutes or less and processes thousands of records, ran for 12 hours and only processed 800 records completely (including the R03B50 and R03B50D jobs)out of 8,000. The R03B50 and R03B50D jobs were running in the background even though the R03B551 was not complete and the only reason we know this is because unapplied cash was being applied and the flags were changing in the F03B13Z1 even though there were no records of these jobs running in the batch versions screen.

The decision was made to kill the R03B551 job and now the issue is we can not get the R03B50 job to pick up the unapplied cash and process it.

Has any one ever had any issues with this job mid-stream? Any suggestions of things to try? We can't even get the R03B50 to attempt to process any records it just gives a message of No Receipts met the selection criteria - Verify the receipts are setup correctly.

A couple of thoughts which might help you...

R03B551 only loads cash receipts in as unapplied receipts. The matching to invoices is done by R03B50, my guess is you have R03B50 chained to run with R03B551 (check the processing options on R03B551).

Assuming all the cash receipts got loaded by R03B551, then rerunning R03B551 will do nothing. I think you want to try running R03B50 directly, which sounds like what you have tried. This should then pickup the unapplied receipts and based on the application information in F03B13Z1 apply them.

Do cash receipts still exist in F03B13Z1? If not then R03B50 will do nothing.

Also what the Auto-Cash Upload Status Flag (EUPS) in F03B13Z1? Normally when cash is 1st loaded into the Z File the Status will be " " blank, then the status moved to "H" after the cash is uploaded, and then finally "Y" once the receipts are matched. If Auto-Cash Upload Status Flag (EUPS) got set to 'E' (error) or something else during the problems, that might explain the R03B50 not picking up the receipts and matching.
