Preventative Maintenance and Original Miles/Hours

All,
Has anyone else been unhappy with the fact that the PM Schedule (R12807) uses the original hours/miles field when calculating percentage due? We have a vehicle that might have a 350 hour service interval, an original hours of 150, a last meter reading of 4000 and a new meter reading of 4350 and we're still only sitting at something closer to %55 due. We "expect" to be at 100% due. Some of the equipment (migrated) does not have an original hour/mile reading, so they aren't adjusted.

Thoughts?

Have you run the annual close on units program at the end of 2005
(R12825) for AU?

Yes, Keith, we have. We ran this, but we're told the original will always remain. I'm trying to investigate how and when this original (in the F1202) is populated (what are all the methods). Thoughts?

RE: RE: Preventative Maintenance and Original Miles/Hours

Per Oracle:
The system should not be populating an original amount when you just
enter a new reading for a new asset. If it is the first new reading for
an asset that was aquired in 2006, it should move that amount over to
the current reading column when you reinquire. If the asset has an
aquired date in 2005, you may need to run the R12825 to bring the AU
ledger up to date. If it was aquired in 2006, it almost has to be
something to do with your AAI setup. You need unique account #s in FMA
thru FME and AT00 AAI setup.

Slightly (only slightly) confused....

We did do the update but, since this is converted data, in the past, for every OTHER year end, the FA team was NOT moving AU. We had them do that for this year. Are you saying that if it hadn't been done in the past that these are left-overs from previous acquisitions?

Re: RE: RE: Preventative Maintenance and Original Miles/Hours

To confirm, we have all unique accounts for FMA-FME and for AT00.

RE: RE: RE: Preventative Maintenance and Original Miles/Hours

Try running the program for 2005 in proc option and then select AU in
data selection. then retest.

Re: RE: RE: RE: Preventative Maintenance and Original Miles/Hours

That's what we've already done. Ran for 2005 for AA/AU.
