MRP and Consolidated Shipping Days

We use JDEdward's Worldvision multi-plant MRP across an international supply chain. We have logistics agreements in place which specify the days of the week we ship to Europe. An issue we have is the need to match the dates on MRP transfer order messages with the ship dates of our consolidated shipments to Europe. We ship every Wednesday and Friday, and they receive materials on Fridays and Tuesdays. However, the requirements for the materials could be any day of the week. MRP messages suggesting receipt on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays require manual intervention. Then, after the transfer order has been entered, it creates various messages depending on if the order was frozen or not. Either way, it creates manual steps and noise in MRP.

Is there anyway in MRP to specify or consolidate messages to specific days of the week?

I have come across issues like this in One world. There are a couple of options you can try. You can use period of supply (set up in item branch plant) for your items. This will consolidate messages into buckets based upon when you run MRP. This will reduce no of messages a planner has to manage
Another option is to use damping for expedite/defer messages (on MRP processing option). This will effectively ignore these type of messages when MRP are run, based on the parameter days you select, e.g., if days are set at 5, will ignore defer/expedite messages <5 days, thus reducing "noise" in system.
