Hi all,
I am in need of some assistance if anyone out there
operates with de-centralized A/P.
The following issue exists in OneWorld if you allow
multiple departments to create manual or automatic
check runs simultaneously.
If the update function p04575 is running for
automatic checks which updates the payment ID file
F0413 and someone enters a manual payment thru speed
payment entry P0411SV there are no errors but a
conjoined record is created and the some of the auto
check run checks disappear. The vouchers associated
with those get a paid status and have no open amount
but no check is associated with it but the check has
printed out. The manual check run check ends up with
some info from it's record and some from the auto
record it crashed with including the amount - so now
that doesn't match the vouchers attached to it.
There is no indication that this has happened except
that the auto check record doesn't show up in the bank
rec when the check comes back from the bank or someone
happens to be looking for the check. P04576 (the
printout for the auto update) does show the auto check
numbers as if they were there and is really the only
record other than the actual check copy that that
check actually existed.
This is brief, but hopefully clear. We know why it's
happening (bug within how the X04131 retrieves the
Next Payment ID) We have internally fixed the program
to B7332. We are upgrading to XE, but can go no
farther as we are co-existance due to Oil & Gas
programs. We aren't getting very far with JDE
regarding this as they say most companies have a
central AP department and our workaround is to do that
or don't use the programs causing the program. Nice.
We've gone thru customer advocacy to no avail, they
are planning to fix this in B9 (no help to us), and
are now looking for another customer who may have this
issue and don't know why or planning on going to a
de-centralized A/P format.
