Media Object Structures <Exist> function

I'm trying to use MEDIA OBJECT STRUCTURES and GT4311 to check if a PO LINE ATTACHMENT exists. It's coded as:
Media Object Structures(GT4311, <Default Media Object>, <Exist>, VA frm Work_cERR, DOCO, KCOO, DCTO, SFXO, LNID).

Debug shows the values to be correct, and I can see the row in F00165.

I'd HOPED that this would return a value of 0/1 in the cERR parm.
Testing shows it returning a 0 whether or not the attachment exists.

Am I using this system function correctly?
If not, what am I doing wrong?

Try using a variable created from alias TXT0 (that is ZERO not o at the end - I think it stands for Generic Text) for the error parm as described here:
