Looking for sanity check on supply and demand rules

I am trying to figure out if I have a performance issue in Supply & Demand. I am aware a lot of things influence how long this can take including horizon, number of orders, number of mfg orders, number of lots, etc.

For a sanity check we have about 900 records in the F34004 file (Supply and Demand rules). If you are using Supply and demand how many records do you have here?

1,283 for what its worth. I don't think the number of inclusion rules will have a big impact on P4021. Rather I'd check to see how many empty (zero quantity) F41021 (Item Location) rows you have per item.

Also be sure to look for any performance related ESUs against the S&D objects - there have been several in older versions of JDE.

Thanks for the tip Larry we do have an awfully high percentage of zero qty on hand (1/4 M records of which 87% are 0), and we do use lot control.

I am investigating how often we run a purge on this file.
