Loitering UBE\'s Unwelcome in our OneWorld Xe Environment

I am running into a situation where a UBE will fire off and after the report finishes the UBE just sits there for up to several minutes in duration. This loitering thread holds up other JDE processing that the user is attempting to accomplish in their session.

This has only started to happen recently and is very consistent. Is there a table that needs to be purged or something else that needs to be cleaned out to get the UBE to exit in a timely manner once again? Our Xe installation is just over two years old.

Thanks,

Keaton

If this is on an I-Series, I would try deleting the SQLPKG's.

It's WinTel running SQL Server 2000.

Thanks for the reply.

Check the SMTP settings section of your JDE.INI on the enterprise server. We seen this behavior during attempts to send the "Job completed successfully" emails to an IP address that didn't have an email server hosted on it.

This assumes you have external emailing configured in Workcenter for the user ids that are running these loitering UBE's
