Log file time/date stamps

On our iSeries based Enterprise Server (8.12 - 8.98.4.9) I am seeing JDE log files having a Created date newer than the Changed or Accessed date. This should be impossible. Has anyone ever seen this before or know how this could happen? Thanks!
