License Violation

Hi, I'm having some trouble lately with SPCs, no one seems to know the answer, I hope you guys can help me out.

My licenses, somehow, are all set to zero, I can't tell you when did that happen, I found out when I was told that we were unnable to install anymore fat clients because of a license error during the installation.

I get the following error:

"You are not licensed to execute this application. For more information please contact your Oracle Sales Representative"

So I tried to reset my licenses, but that didn't work either, I click OK in P98SRV and it closes normally as if it worked but when I go back to P98538 everything is still zero.

I searched the forum but the only thing I found was that I wouldn't have my permissions set up correctly in the B9/client, but I don't have that folder in the deployment server.

Thanks,

Have you contacted your Oracle Sales Representative as the message suggests?

Try this, it even has instructions for the (now defunct) method of calling in to the (now defunct) Global Support Services phone number:

1)Rename jdeclnt files on the Deployment server:

The jdeclnt files to be renamed are located in the following directory:

/jdedwardsoneworld/B73xx/client (where xx is the current release number of OneWorld)

Rename the jdeclnt.xdc and jdeclnt.ddc files to jdeclnt.xdcold and jdeclnt.ddcold.

To rename the files:

1. Start Windows Explorer

2. Go to the /jdedwardsoneworld/B73x/client directory.

3. Highlight jdeclnt.xdc, right click the mouse and select rename.

Type jdeclnt.xdcold

4. Highlight jdeclnt.ddc, right click the mouse and select rename.

Type jdeclnt.ddcold
2)Reset the server licenses

Log into the Deployment server in the planner environment. Fast Path to the GH9052 menu. Double click on the Reset Software Protection Codes application (P98SRV).

On the Reset JD Edwards Security screen, click on the Reset Server Security button.

Leave the JD Edwards Security Setup screen up while you call Global Support Services at 1-800-289-2999.

Be prepared to provide your name, your telephone #, your client #, and the Serial number on the screen.

Enter the code given by Authorization Specialist click OK. Your server is now relicensed.

3)Reset the client licenses

On each client machine, go the GH9052 menu. Double click on the Reset Software Protection Codes application (P98SRV).

On the Reset JD Edwards Security screen, click on the Reset Client Security button.

On the JD Edwards Security Setup screen, Click Get Auth on the Form menu.

My guess is that the security on the JDE share on the Deployment Server is simply preventing you from accessing the necessary files...
