Lead Time

Hi List,

The system takes into account the number of hours available for lead time calculations from the manufacturing constants.If we have defined 3 shifts(24 hrs) in the mfg constants.In the work center we have defined the available hrs as 8 only.So while lead time rollup which value does the system take?

Hello Sachin,

Leadtime rollup will use the hours per day from the manufacturing constants. Consequently MRP schedules Work Orders based on that number AND the Shop Floor Calendar.

Work Order Routings however are scheduled based on Work Center Capacity and the Work Center Resource Units / Work Center Calendar.

Consequently its very easy to end up with Work Orders whose Start Dates bear no relation to the Start Date of the first Operation Step for the Work Order. Kinda sucks doesn't it?
