JDE security settings

here's a weird one

i have a system role ( *CUSTOMER) to which i apply all my jde security settings for the online portal

now a user who belongs to this group is trying to run a new report and it comes up as "you are not authorised to run this report".

when i take him out of the security group it works fine

now in the security workbench i have copied all the security settings for *customer to a temporary system role *tester

when i change the user to be part of this new sytem role it works fine when i put him back in * customer it does not work again

what could be stopping this application from running - both security workbenches for *user and *tester are exactly the same. and the report has been generated succesfully for the web.

ps - we work with menus not ativera

If the user is trying run the report from a web client, the security change to the *CUSTOMER group, will not take effect until the web services are stopped and restarted. This is a function of the way the web server caches information, in particular the security tables.

Hi,

Have u web generated the processing option template object while
generating the main object. This may also give trouble.

While defining menu Data selection and processing option are checked.
