JDE.INI

Hello List,

A JDE enhancement was included in SP11 that allows you to Prompt for Data
Selection or Prompt for Data Selection and Values when submitting UBE reports
directly from a menu. To enable this capability, you must add the following
line in the jde.ini file within the [INTERACTIVE RUNTIME] section.

DataSelection=TRUE

This is fine and dandy for fat clients. However, most of our users are on the
thin client (Citrix). How do you push this out to all the users on the thin
client? I hope we don't have to go the hard way, and change this setting in
each profile on the TSE! Also, on which server do I need to change this for all
future fat client installs that will take this automatically?

Anybody has done this, or have any ideas? Thanks.

Dave

Update the INI in the OneWorld Client Install directory on the Deployment
Server. Simply build a package with only the JDE.INI and deploy this to the
WTS. Sign on as an Admin in install mode and accept the package. Every user
that logs into OneWorld will now get the updated INI.
