We are setting up a French subsidiary on JDE where the parent of the group is US based. We have a group chart of Accounts which both the US and UK company currently use. We intend to use the same chart of accounts in France but then also use category codes 21, 22 and 23 (as per advice from JDE) to allow reporting in compliance with French laws.
Whilst setting up the French Chart of accounts we came across a issue regarding Cost of sales/purchases. In the US/UK chart of accounts we use Cost of Goods Sold (which is std cost based on materials and where applicable labour/overhead) and is charged at point of sales, in France we must report actual purchases with a stock variance.
Can anyone advise how to accommodates this inside the JDE?
