I am new to JDE Financial Reporting. Can someone direct me to tutorial related to Financial Reporting or smart fields used in Financial Reporting.

There is a (small) tutorial in the Report Writing (tools) guide about financial reports.

Smart fields are numeric variables with a business function attached that knows how to read F0902. Each one is for a specific purpose, usually to retrieve data for a different time frame. The two most commonly use ones are Period Activity which gives you the month activity (or week if you are doing a 52 period report) and Year to Date Through Current Period which adds up all the periods up through the current month.
