If you are, then be careful of the twitter virus. I personally think its overkill. Twitter is just silly. Sorry - but I don't care what people are doing every 10 minutes or so. Certainly when the net was created, it really wasn't there to have the bandwidth splurged by people scratching their collective arses and posting about it.

For now, I'm updating my Facebook Status and indicating I'm blogging on JDEList about Twitter - just so that all my Plaxo, LinkedIn and Friends Reunited colleagues are made aware. Sorry - I'm just too old for MySpace...

On a similar note - twitter IS great for watching uninformed panics unfold live - check out a search on there for "Swine Flu"

I used to think it was stupid also, Jon. And a lot of it is. But I see some useful interaction in the SAP community on Twitter, and I hope to see the same with JDE folks.

Well, its good us INFORMED EnterpriseOne JDE Specialists don't jump onto everything that SAP people do - otherwise we'd be talking about how insecure the Telnet Sessions are. (SAP's GUI is a screen-scraper on top of Telnet sessions)

Seriously though, be VERY worried about Twitter type viruses...or those Swine Flu viruses (honestly, can people be more stupid ? How are posts like "stay away from pork chops" be informative ?)

I personally see useful JDE/EnterpriseOne interaction on a PHP created community website...its called www.jdelist.com - its certainly a LOT more accurate information than little 75 character soundbites...

There are a ton of social networks that target JD Edwards users. The traffic for the most part consists of job ad spam. I personally use Facebook but only because I'm addicted to Mafia War.
