Hi all,
we're working on new project of update XE to E900.
With the update we'll do also the implementation of Transportation Module. The question is simple: how can we update the transportation information about the open orders? How can we generate the shipment, load ecc. for these open orders? There is a batch to allow the update?

The shipment logic only processes as you probably figured out when you enter an order. Since there will be several orders already in the file that were entered prior to having Transportation Module turned on, you will have to manually create shipments and add Sales Order Lines to the shipment. When you enter the shipment manually, you will enter a ship-to and go to an exit that shows you all the sales order lines to that ship-to. You can then select sales order lines you want to ship together on this shipment. This is a similar process to manually consolidating shipments.

We are going through the same process (World to E1 + trans). The only way we know to get a shipment on the order is to actually "touch" each open order in E1. If you go into the open Sales Orders and update one of the date fields or location E1 will generate a shipment number for that order. It is a long process, but it is the only one we know of.

But did you test Repricing Batch (R42950) or Print Pick Slip (R42520) to update open orders and move them into Transportation Files?
