ERP 8 update 1 issues

All,

We are in the process of upgrading to ERP 8. I have installed the ERP 8 software and I am attempting to apply update 1. However, when I click the setup.exe on the CD and then click NEXT when the installer comes up, I get a pop-up that says Higher Revision Detected. Now, I know the software on the system is older than the software on the update CD, the date stamps are way older.

Any ideas?? It's probably a Registry Entry, but I'm stumped..

I found the solution!!

In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JDEdwards\OneWorldWindowsInstaller\Install.ini

There is a RevisionLevel entry. Mine was set to 5. I set it back to 1 and everything ran fine...

I just had this same problem (and fixed it), but the error message on the screen said, in its entirety:

Revision level detected on this machine is greater than the software update that is being installed. Installation cannot continue
