\"EP4210\" vs \"P4210\" - Question regarding Program IDs...

Does anybody know why sometimes Program IDs have an "E" before the application id (for example some records in the F4211 have "EP4210" vs "P4210")? Does it have to do with how that particular record was written/updated (BSFN vs application for example)? Thanks again in advance for your assistance, and have a great day.

kavehm,

The intent of having the "E" before the application ID was to indicate that the record was added or updated by a OneWorld program rather than a World program in a coexistent environment. Some of the coexistence triggers look for the "E" to determine which system added or updated the record.

However, JDE did not always follow this standard, so some OneWorld programs do not include the "E" before the application ID.

thanks Travis, that makes sense but I would've never thought that was the reasoning.......
thanks again and have a great holiday!

"E" stands for EVEREST which was the code name for OneWorld when it was in development
