Enterpriseone Environmental Health and Safety Module

Does Enterpriseone have this functionality? I searched for this and it appears Oracle has something called "Environment Health and Safety Management System", but it doesn't say if it's JDE specific. It looks to me like it's EBS, not JDE. Just looking for clarification or whether or not JDE can handle this type of functionality.

In the Quest weekly newsletter, there was a mention of the "New" JD EDWARDS ENTERPRISEONE ENVIRONMENTAL ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING tool.

This is a re-badged version of an Australian company NDEVR's Carbon/GHG Accounting Software that I saw demonstrated at our local Quest ANZ conference in 2009. It looks like Oracle have since purchased the software from NDEVR according to their website http://www.ndevr.com.au/about-us/research-a-development

It is hardly new software, but it is at a stage where most of the bugs are out of after many Australian users have rolled it out including ABIgroup constructions and Thies.

The Environmental Accounting & Reporting solution is available in both JDE & EBS.

In JDE it is available in 9.0. The document ID is 1327249.1.

The solution uses Accounts Payable and Inventory Issue processing to capture environmental usage data and create transactions in an Environmental Ledger.

Just to expand on Brian's information.
Oracle acquired the IP for GHG Accounting Software from Ndevr in 2011. We developed modules for E-biz and JDE.

Since the acquisition Oracle released modules for JD Edwards 9.0, as well as a module for E-Business Suite R12.

There was no code remediation required, and it has also been one of fastest rollout's of any [Oracle] acquired product, ever. (<4 months.)

The modules enable company's to capture and transform environmental data directly within their ERP systems. All that is required from the finance team is the processing of a single extra field of data at the time invoices are processed.

Ndevr continue to provide implementation services for both versions of the product as it requires a level of environmental legislation expertise not typically found within an IT consulting company.
