E8.10 Update 1 is finally here (Again!)

If anyone is looking for all the E8.10 ESUs and ASUs through June 14, 2005 in one "tidy package" then it arrived on Aug 12. Oracle released E8.10 Update 1. This is somewhat confusing since PG1 was also referred to as Update 1 at one point. Oh well, confusion seems to be standard procedure. To download E810 Update 1 you need to go to http://edelivery.oracle.com or call in and order it. It is not available via the update center.

Noticed you had posted this information...did you happen to go through applying this to an 8.10 environment? We went live July 5, 2005, so we obviously didn't get this applied in time for our go live. We are now looking to move forward with applying this update...any recommendations?

I have applied this update and it went very smoothly. Just make sure you have the latest Planner ESU. It resolved a lot of memory leaks and also fixed some buggy applications.

Hi,

I installed it a couple of months ago, client didn't
notice performance or stability improvements, though
several applications bugs where solved (G/L and Distrib).
The installation of BL1 went smoothly, no problems,
it took about 10 hours to complete per environment.
